Frank Kononchuk
Frank J. Kononchuk, 92, of Butler died Sunday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born April 22, 1918, in Catasauqua, Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Jacob and Rose (Bunger) Kononchuk.
He was a welder for the Pullman Standard Car Co. in Butler for 22 years until his retirement in 1980.
Frank was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.
He had enjoyed photography, and he enjoyed trains, including watching movies and shows that they were featured in.
Surviving are his son, Frank S. Kononchuk and his wife, Charmiann, of Rochester; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann S. Kononchuk, who he married Nov. 8, 1943; and who died Dec. 3, 2009; a daughter, Suzanne Trotta; a brother; and a sister.
<B>Kononchuk</B> Friends of Frank J. Kononchuk, who died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 until 4 p.m. Thursday.
