Butler County Judge S. Michael Yeager has decided he will take no action right now on the preliminary injunction request filed by Bill Halle and Leland Clark against Butler School District.

Clark, a school board candidate, and Halle, a current board member, filed a motion seeking a preliminary injunction Thursday to stop the possible sale of four recently closed elementary schools in the school district.

The injunction request was an attempt to speed up the process of a lawsuit filed last month by Clark and Halle against the school district.

The district began accepting sealed bids in August to buy the school buildings and will continue to accept them until Sept. 18.

Yeager has decided not to schedule a hearing for now.

Yeager said he will not stop the school board from getting or accepting bids, but if the school district does move forward to sell a school, he will reconsider scheduling a hearing at that time.
