Ann M. Adams, 92, of Kittanning, formerly of Whites-town in Butler, died Saturday evening at her home following a long illness.

Born Oct. 26, 1918, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Stadnyk) Hattz.

She had worked in the dietetic department for the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center, now VA Butler Healthcare, for 13 years, retiring in 1978. She previously had worked as a cook for the Butler Elks Club.

She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and the AARP, formerly attended the Mount Chestnut Senior Center, volunteered to transport elderly and frequently visited shut-ins with her husband, Andy.

Ann loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She also loved to cook and was very supportive of her immediate family.

Surviving are her son, Robert A. Adams and his wife, Bonnie, of Valencia; a daughter, Jean Davidson and her husband, Robert Jr., of Kittanning, with whom she made her home since 2001; three grandchildren, Diana, Robert and Angela Davidson; a brother, Frank Malinski, and his wife, Tracy, of Prospect; and two sisters, Katherine McConnell and Elizabeth Christy and her husband, George, all of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Adams, who she married Nov. 22, 1945, and who died March 20, 2003; a daughter, Sue Ann McCauley, who died Nov. 12, 1991; four brothers, George and Michael Hattz and Charles and Peter Malinski; and a sister, Mary Rudkowski.

<B>ADAMS </B>— Friends of Ann M. Adams, who died Saturday, July 23, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.The St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
