Mildred E. Vaulet, 89, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 10, 1936, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Claude W. “Dutch” Hinchberger and Evelyn P. Plaisted Hinchberger.

Mildred was the manager of The Variety Basket in Saxonburg.

She was a faithful member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. She volunteered at Katie’s Kitchen. She loved caring for children, and she enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and making wine.

She is survived by one daughter, Theresa “Terry” McDivitt; two grandchildren, John McDivitt and his wife, Ashley, and Asha Hanson and her husband, Nate; and one sister, Carol Wigton and her husband, Rich.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph V. Vaulet, whom she married Oct. 22, 1955, and who passed away July 23, 1999; one sister, Patricia Royle; and one brother, Bill Hinchberger.

VAULET — Friends of Mildred E. Vaulet, who died Wednesday, July 1, 2026, will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 6, at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.

Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
