Pamela Lamping

Lamping

Pamela P. Lamping, lovingly known as Pam, 72, of Valencia, Pa., entered into eternal life on Friday, June 19, 2026, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family after a courageous battle with ALS.

Born in Pittsburgh on March 9, 1954, she was the beloved daughter of David and Virginia (Weber) Phillips. Pam married the love of her life, Paul Lamping, and together they shared 52 years of faithful marriage, raising three children and welcoming eight cherished grandchildren.

A graduate of Mount Alvernia High School, Class of 1972, Pam devoted her life to her family and to creating a loving home wherever life led them. Through 12 moves across four states, she transformed every house into a place of faith, comfort and hospitality. Once the children were in school, she loved working with her dear friend in the catering business, and the athletic footwear and apparel sector.

Pam was known for her beautiful smile, gentle spirit, generous heart and quick wit. She loved joking with family and friends and had an uncanny ability to make people laugh. She loved sewing, especially embroidery, cooking for family and friends and celebrating holidays that became treasured family traditions. She was a devoted parishioner who found strength in daily Mass, prayer and her trust in God’s providence.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Paul Lamping; her loving children, Mandy (Ryan) Merlet, Timothy (Elizabeth) Lamping and Sarah (Carl) Sockaci; her cherished grandchildren, Mckinley and Luke Merlet, Noah, Emma and Mary Ellen Lamping, and Oakley, Ruby and Delia Sockaci; her brother, Morgan (Nancy) Phillips; her sister, Meghan Phillips; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Virginia (Weber) Phillips.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, on Aug. 1, 2026. Burial will follow at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery, 4629 Bakerstown Road, Gibsonia. Family and friends will be received at the church during a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m., immediately prior to the funeral Mass.

Pam courageously fought to keep her faith, keep her voice, keep her strength and keep her breath. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Pam Lamping to the ALS Association at: www.als.org.
