Teacher's salaries are public knowledge. They are posted in the Butler Eagle every time there is a new contract. I'm sure you could access that information from the Administration Building also. I never said teaching is the only career requiring a degree. I don't know of any teacher who gets free cell phones or laptops. Once a year, we get a 10 percent off coupon for Boscov's and Pennys. Teachers became teachers because they want to teach your children. I'm not sure what the teachers in SV were making or what they would be making under a new contract. Perhaps they were under the median in comparison to other similar sized school districts, maybe not, to be truthfull, I can't remember now. Is it 7% in five years or 21 as you stated. I don't think I've ever heard of the increase being that high. If that is the case, holy cow. But, like I stated, I don't know off hand what they were making.
