Westinghouse promotes pair

Zwetolitz

CRANBERRY TWP — The Westinghouse Electric Co. announced Friday the appointments of Joe Zwetolitz as president, Americas Region, and José Emeterio Gutierrez as senior vice president of Nuclear Fuel.

Zwetolitz, formerly vice president of the Americas Region, succeeds Jim Ferland, who assumes his new role as president and CEO, effective April 1.

As president of the Americas Region, Zwetolitz is responsible for customer relationships, business plan development, and project and product delivery in the Americas Region. He also will focus on marketing in the region for Westinghouse product lines, including nuclear fuel, nuclear automation and nuclear services.

In his most recent position with Westinghouse, Zwetolitz was responsible for strategy in the Americas region and for developing business in Canada.

Zwetolitz joined Westinghouse from AREVA NP in 2011 where he was senior vice president, North American Reactors and Services Group. He has more than 22 years experience in the nuclear industry.

He will continue to be at the Westinghouse headquarters in Cranberry and will report to Ferland.Gutierrez, as senior vice president of Nuclear Fuel, is responsible for leading the global Nuclear Fuel organization, which provides nuclear fuel fabrication, components and services to customers in the U.S., Europe and Asia.Gutierrez has been the vice president and managing director, Southern Europe, for the Westinghouse Europe, Middle East and Africa region.Before that, he was Nuclear Services' director, Technical Services, Spain.Gutierrez joined Westinghouse in early 2008 from ENUSA. He has more than 25 years experience in the global nuclear market.Gutierrez, too, will be at the Westinghouse headquarters in Cranberry and will report to Ricardo “Ric” Pérez, chief operating officer.
