Vern Wiles, 83, of East Brady, died Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Chicora Medical Center.

Born May 26, 1943, in Bradys Bend, he was the youngest child of Ross A. and Catherine M. (Foringer) Wiles.

Vern worked in construction and as a heavy equipment operator. Later in life, he was a caregiver for his mother in her advanced years.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Vern is survived by two sisters, Virginia Delano, of Somerset, and Genevieve Zellers, of East Brady. He is also survived by a large extended family of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter Wiles; and six sisters, Jean Murray, Marguerite Heginbotham, Julia Simpson, Rose Young, Ilene Wissinger and Karen Schrecengost.

WILES — Friends of Vern Wiles, who died Thursday, June 18, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, June 22, at BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Amy Worline, chaplain of the Chicora Medical Center, officiating.

Burial will be private.
