McCandless

Dale B. McCandless, 74, of Butler, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026.

He was born in Butler on Dec. 6, 1951, son of the late George and Georgette (Hapsic) McCandless.

After graduating high school, Dale furthered his education at Edinboro University for art.

In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, drawing and painting, and completed the Pittsburgh Marathon in his wheelchair.

Dale is survived by his siblings, and sisters-in-law, Randy (Sue) and Bruce (Debbie) McCandless.

Along with his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his siblings, Don and Gary McCandless and Linda Bowman.

MCCANDLESS — All arrangements for Dale B. McCandless, who died Saturday, June 13, 2026, were made through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Randy’s home.
