Thomas Uptegraph
Thomas Edward Uptegraph, 88, of Saxonburg, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Thomas was born in Freeport on Sept. 12, 1937, a son of the late Roberta E. (Kutsch) and Joseph F. Uptegraph.
He worked for Conrail for 20 years and later was a state railroad inspector before retiring due to medical reasons. He also served 24 years in the Army Reserves, retiring in 1997.
Thomas was a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed watching Westerns, the Pirates and Steelers, and spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bonnie L. (Russo) Uptegraph; three daughters, Cindy (Les) Tricou, Ronda Overly and Terri (Hugo) Araque; two sons, Mike Berkoben and Thomas (Michelle) Berkoben; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Jack (Marie) Uptegraph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, and his daughter, Michele Berkoben.
UPTEGRAPH — Family and friends of Thomas Edward Uptegraph, who died Wednesday, June 10, 2026, will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 5 p.m. Monday, June 15, at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High St., Freeport, with Pastor Robert Hindman officiating.
Burial will be held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
