Janet Sybert
Janet M. Sybert, 63, of Butler, passed away the evening of Monday, June 8, 2026, after a brief illness.
She was born June 14, 1962, in Butler, the daughter of late Victor Gene and Phyllis Mae (Deemer) Sybert.
Janet graduated from Slippery Rock High School, Class of 1980, and then graduated from Butler County Community College. She continued her education, obtaining a master’s degree in theology. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Stepanian and Muscatello law offices and later for Karen Vidt Tax Services.
She was a faithful member of Bright Hope Community Church. She enjoyed crafting, notably knitting and quilting. She loved playing games and visiting amusement parks. She enjoyed traveling and loved visiting zoos throughout her travels.
Janet is survived by her dearest friend, Maryann Stepanian; three sisters, Vicki McFeaters, P. Lynne Sybert and Lori Stephenson; two brothers: Kenneth “Sunshine” Sybert (Geraldine) and Jason (Tina) Sybert; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Carl.

SYBERT — Family and friends of Janet M. Sybert, who died Monday, June 8, 2026, will be received for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chris McGrady, her church pastor, officiating.
Private burial will be held at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to Bright Hope Community Church, 4101 Highland Ave., Butler, PA 16001.
