Pamela M. Patterson, 78, of Butler, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, with her family by her side.

She was born May 13, 1948, in Butler, daughter of the late Robert W. and Joan (Wasson) Moore.

A lifelong resident of Butler, Pam graduated from Butler High School in 1966, then enrolled in Bowling Green University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education and French.

She loved teaching, and spent her entire career in the Butler Area School District as a teacher at McQuistion Elementary School, until her retirement in 2007. Former students have often claimed her as “My Favorite Teacher!”

She was a lifelong and devoted member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and elder, in addition to being a member of the church choir. Assisting with the church’s food pantry was also important to her.

Pam most enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. Playing cards and other games with them were favorite activities.
