Popular pool time: A crowded Alameda Waterpark means summer is underway

Summer is heating up and so is the popularity of Alameda Waterpark.
The pool was crowded with people throughout the day Monday, June 8, when temperatures hit nearly 90 degrees in the afternoon.
The waterpark features a Pirate’s Cove Splash Pad, two enclosed tube slides, new picnic tables, umbrellas and a sitting concrete wall lining the entrance of the park. The diving well now features a new Aqua Rock wall, two diving boards and a new drop slide.
The pool is open from 12:15 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 12:15 to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Admission costs $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 3 to 12. Ages 2 and under are free.
