Please stop perpetuating the myth that those who make less than $100,000 pay most of the taxes.(Please cite your source for this "fact") You are fully aware that these verifiable facts prove your liberal mantra incorrect:
(1) the top 1% of earners paid 38% of federal taxes while earning 20% of the adjusted gross income.
(2) the top 1% paid more than the bottom 95%.
(3) the top 1/10 of 1% earned 10% of adjusted gross income and paid 18.5% of all federal taxes.

I agree that there should be no top income threshold regarding paying social security taxes (that alone would probably make the system solvent for decades longer).
There needs to be tax reform, eliminating loopholes and many deductions.(How about a flat tax?) However, I firmly believe that every household needs to pay at least a token amount of income taxes yearly. Why? Because if you have no skin in the game, so to speak, there is abuse of the welfare system whereby many households today sit back and expect(some actually demand)that they are taken care of by their hardworking neighbors.
I'm sure that you are aware that those who pay no taxes(about 1/2 of all Americans)receive the lions share of tax dollars spent via food stamps, welfare payments, etc.
We should all be responsible to take care of the elderly, injured, and handicapped. That is an American trait, but a little research would easily prove your statement incorrect.
