JEFFERSON TWP — The Southeastern Butler County (SEBCO) Pool renovations are going as planned, according to a report at the Jefferson Township Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, June 8.

In the report, township manager Leo Rosenbauer III said several important steps toward completing the pool renovations, such as mobilization, erosion and sediment controls and demolition of the existing pool deck and filter building were completed before the supervisors’ meeting.

Supervisors chairperson Lois Rankin also said there were no changes to the construction schedule. According to that schedule, all construction should be complete by Monday, Nov. 2, and the pool should be ready to reopen for summer 2027.

As a result of the positive progress update, the board approved payments to contractor Main Line Commercial Pools totaling $177,600.

In addition, the board learned about agreements with two donors to help defray the cost of the pool’s renovations. The board first received word PNC Charitable Trusts would donate $75,000 to the pool project this year and $75,000 once the pool renovations are completed.

The supervisors also learned there was an agreement in the works for Concordia to donate $100,000 this year and $25,000 in the spring of 2027 to the South Butler County Pool Association.

In other business, supervisors:

• Approved a motion to ask the township planning commission to draft an ordinance regarding data centers.

• Approved a motion to spend its $106,642 Community Development Block Grant allocation on low-income housing rehabilitation and restoration.
