Cracks fixed at Harrisville skate park
HARRISVILLE — Harrisville’s skate park may be opening as soon as this week after major cracks were sealed in the concrete.
Councilwoman Kathy Bray said at the Monday, June 8, borough council meeting the park’s concrete surface had been patched at a cost “less than $400” to the borough. Half the concrete mix was donated by council President April Anschutz and Mayor Dan Anschutz.
Borough maintenance lead Jeff Cook said he will be meeting with members of the Butler Area Skatepark Association on Wednesday to determine if the park has been adequately repaired. If so, it will be reopened to the public.
Bray said the borough has more concrete mix already purchased if more repairs are needed.
The next scheduled Harrisville Borough Council meeting is set for 7 p.m. July 13.
