Bill of Fairview writes that "Sex...is supposed to be shared between a HUSBAND and WIFE not for fun with just anyone" and that "a baby is a miracle from the Lord and to kill a fetus is against the 10 commandments." His clear appeal to Puritanical prinicples and Christian theology lays bare the motivation of those who oppose abortion. Its really non-reproductive sexual intercourse which he opposes. It is this Puritan attack on pleasure and sex that animates the Religious Right and reduces women to chattel and sex to production of more of "God's children," irrespective of human wishes and desires.
