Amesh you state some concerns towards seperation of church and state and how the US was founded. You make comparisons such as "Islam arose from Judaism and Christianity" stating there really is no difference. When it comes down to what both stand for in the long run there is a big difference.

I wonder would you make the same comparisons democracy was founded on the monarch of England they share the same ideas. Except the main ideals.

I think you understand exactly what the women was trying to say. Leaving even religeon out of the comments she made you would have no argument with it.

I think when people speak of their religeous beliefs in this country when it was founded that they were praying to the lord their lord. I disagree that we were better people then, we held women at a lower level, blacks as slaves etc...I am sure you get the point.

But I truly believe the women you are arguing with has merit to her point. If we hold ourselves to a higher standard and not such a sinful nature, we as people would get a long better. Whether this is based on religeon I dont know.
