The Butler Junior High cross country teams faced Hampton and Seneca Valley recently.

The Golden Tornado boys defeated SV 16-45 and lost a 33-25 decision to Hampton. Butler’s girls dropped decisions of 33-24 to Hampton and 31-24 to Seneca Valley.

Nathan Monday of Butler won the boys race in 11 minutes. The Tornado’s Skyler Vavro was second. Hampton’s Megan Cook won the girls race in 12:14, followed by SV’s Norah Sibel and Lizzy White. Butler’s Abbie Griffith was fourth.
