Ruth Dillabaugh, 82, of Butler, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026.

She was born in Carroll, Iowa, on Aug. 29, 1943, daughter of the late Daniel and Edith (Gray) Schatz.

Ruth was a pastor’s wife at Calvary Baptist Church of Butler for 20 years. She was a member there for 44 years. Ruth was also a Sunday school teacher at Calvary for over 40 years.

She loved her husband, family and her church family. Ruth loved and served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Ruth was the beloved wife of Wayne Dillabaugh, and they recently shared their 64th anniversary on May 26, 2026; mother of Jane (Kevin) Wall, Cara (Joel) Ward, Jodie (Terry) Osborne and Charity (Heath) McAfoose; sister of Mary Jane Weyandt, Daniel Schatz II, Elizabeth Howard and Paul Schatz; and grandmother of 19 and great-grandmother of 35.

Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, John Schatz.

DILLABAUGH — Burial for Ruth Dillabaugh, who died Thursday, May 28, 2026, was held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

Family and friends will be received for a memorial service at 3 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Calvary Baptist Church, 199 Great Belt Road, Butler.
