Elizabeth O. Starr
Elizabeth O. Starr, 95, of Austintown, Ohio, died at 9 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman, Ohio.
Born Aug. 19, 1912, in Uniontown, Pa., she was the daughter of Earl Ober and the late Carolyn McFarland.
Mrs. Starr was a secretary for the Butler police then worked as a teacher's aid at West End Elementary School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Starr was a former member of the Audubon Society, the Butler Library Book Club and the Sow Seeds Society. She was a hospital volunteer and Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Starr liked to watch birds, take nature walks, travel, garden and was an avid reader.
Mrs. Starr is survived by her son, David O. Whipkey of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde W. Whipkey Sr., who died May 28, 1961; by her second husband, William Starr, who died Sept. 19, 1985; by a son, Clyde W. Whipkey Jr.; and a sister, Winifred Williams.

North St. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor William Gumpper of First United Methodist Church officiating.
