Obviously Kate does not believe that the web letters page is a place for intelligent discourse ... and I would tend to agree based on what I read here myself. "Narrow minded" and "self-righteous" are phrases that usually come to mind. So what if Amesh writes to numerous periodicals? He is exceptionally intelligent, well- educated and seeks to enlighten. If people like Kate prefer to remain shrouded in ignorance - by all means, take her advice and simply ignore him. However, spare us the feeble attempts to discredit his perspective just because you disagree with him. And Kate, how much free time do you have if "googling" a stranger is considered well-spent?
