Police: Cranberry Township motorcyclist found dead along I-79 was discovered by PennDOT
A Cranberry Township motorcyclist found dead days after a crash on the Interstate 79 northbound ramp from Route 228 was discovered by PennDOT employees, according to state police.
Milo Corll, 36, crashed on Tuesday, May 19, but wasn’t discovered until Thursday in a grassy area along the tree line by PennDOT employees mowing the grass, according to Trooper Bertha Cazy, Troop D’s public information officer.
The crash occurred around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday. Police were called to the crash around 9:30 a.m. Thursday and were seen hauling the motorcycle from the site later in the day.
According to police, Corll entered the ramp before ending up off the road. He continued west, where police said he struck multiple saplings and other foliage and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Police said Corll was not wearing a helmet and sustained a fatal injury. Camera footage from a nearby business was used to verify the date and time of the crash.
