Covenant PresbySunday is Choir Appreciation Sunday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. The choir director, Bev Antis, and the men and women of the Covenant choir will be honored during the 11 a.m. worship service. A special reception will be in the assembly room immediately following the worship service.Donated items for the annual church rummage sale may be brought to the church and placed on the stage in Fellowship Hall. First BaptistTeens from First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will participate in the Spring Youth Retreat at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday and concluding at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Pastor Jeff Hurst from Calvary Baptist Church, Hurricane, W.Va., will be the speaker.This week, Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m. and a worship service will be at 10:55 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Hill U.P.There will be a mission trip meeting Sunday following worship at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. Participants should take insurance information and a parent to complete required trip forms.Reservations are being accepted for the May 18 women’s tea. North Main St. Church of GodThe Haiti mission team of North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., will hold a soup and salad luncheon at noon Sunday. There will be a dessert auction with George Patterson as auctioneer. All proceeds will help pay for the Haiti mission trip July 19 to 26.“Sunday Funday” for youths in 7th to 12th grade will be at 6 p.m. every Sunday at the Haven. They will enjoy movies, games and snacks.The church will participate in the Mother’s Day tribute.
