Butler man sentenced to 20 months after violating federal firearm laws
A Butler man was sentenced to 20 months in prison Wednesday, May 13, after violating federal firearm laws.
Robert Schatzman, 21, faced charges after police executed a search warrant at his home and recovered a pistol.
Schatzman was previously convicted of robbery in the Court of Common Pleas of Lawrence County. Federal law prohibits possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon.
Schatzman was given the sentence by U.S. District Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand.
The FBI, Stowe Township Police Department, McKees Rocks Police Department and the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office were involved in the investigation.
