The stories behind African masks coming to life at Maridon Museum
When you think of African masks do you think of a Freudian psychiatric office or an African witch doctor?
This is a question posed by the Maridon Museum relating to a presentation to be given by Cynthia Marshall, a collector of African masks as artistic sculpture.
Everyone is invited to enter the world of African masks and their tribal and cultural significance for the presentation, which is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the museum, 322 N. McKean St., Butler.
Reservations are required for all programs at the Maridon. Call 724-282-0123 to reserve a spot. It is free to attend.
