Wycliffe E. King

Wycliffe E. King, 81, of Grove City, died at 5:50 p.m. Thursday at Orchard Manor.

Born Jan. 8, 1926, he was the son of Elias Irwin and Bertha Alvina Fleming King.

He was a member of Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock, and he was retired from Cooper Bessemer after 43 years.

A veteran of the Army, he served during World War II. He also belonged to several bowling leagues.

Surviving are his wife, Lida Blanche Zeitler King, whom he married Jan. 8, 1948; a daughter, Mrs. James (Linda) Arner of Slippery Rock, two sons, Dean King of Grove City, and Larry King of Pataskala, Ohio; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois King of Pleasant Hill, Tenn., and Ruby Wind of Chicora; a brother, John King of Chicora; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and a sister.

<B>King</B> — Friends of Wycliffe E. King, who died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, West Sunbury.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. David McCabe, officiating.Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.Military honors by Moniteau Ceremonial Squad will be offered at the funeral home after funeral services.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
