James Harold Bartley, 72, of Saxonburg, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at his home.

Born Aug. 8, 1953, in Butler, he was the son of Homer L. Bartley and Bertha Kennedy Bartley.

Jim was a retired truck driver, having worked for Jaybird Enterprises for many years. After retirement, he became a driver for ANR Transport. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his camp and most of all, he was a wonderful husband, dad and pappy.

Surviving are his wife, Debbie (Freehling) Bartley, whom he married June 25, 1977; two daughters, Kimberly (Christopher) Lunn, of Saxonburg, and Brandy (John) Spohn, of Cabot; three brothers, Homer (Barb) Bartley, of Saxonburg, Bruce Bartley, of Evans City, and Terry Bartley, of Lexington, Ky.; four grandchildren, Brady, Dylan and Sadie Lunn and Kinsley Spohn. Jim will be greatly missed by his canine companions, Baxter and Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale Bartley; two infant sisters, Linda and Sharon; and one granddaughter, Daphne Lunn.

BARTLEY — Friends of James Harold Bartley, who died Friday, May 8, 2026, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 11, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the funeral home with the Rev. Joshua J. Radke officiating.

Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
