Grace C. Mendus of Kittanning died Wednesday at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning after a brief illness.

Born in Butler, she a daughter of Arthur and Clara Shuler Trimbur.

She was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Kittanning.

Mrs. Mendus was a teacher's aide for the ARIN Intermediate Unit, an antique dealer, an avid bridge player and a world traveler.

Her hearty zest for living characterized her life. Her sharp mind, colorful stories and passion for living will be greatly missed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Her husband, Alfred F. Mendus, died Dec. 15, 1991.

She is survived by three sons, Kevin Mendus and his wife, Carolyn, of Mars, Kreg Mendus and his wife, Kathy Mendus-Dlugos, of Greensburg, and Brennan Mendus and his wife, Cindy, of Castle Rock, Colo.; a daughter, Kathleen Strickland and her husband, Eric, of Carbondale, Colo.; and seven grandchildren. She was one of 13 siblings and is survived by a brother and six sisters.

<B>MENDUS</B> — Friends of Grace C. Mendus, who died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 515 N. McKean St. Kittanning. A liturgical service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Emil Payer officiating.
