Larry Soose
Larry Soose, 88, of Butler, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Saxonburg on June 22, 1937, to the late George Soose and Olive E. (Wise) Soose.
He was an entrepreneur who owned and operated several businesses throughout his life. Early on, he worked alongside his father drilling water wells, gaining the experience that would later lead him to establish his own company, L. J. Soose Pumps, specializing in the installation of water well pumps. He was always out tinkering and working with his hands. He also owned and operated an automobile salvage yard. In 1979, he purchased Caravan Court Mobile Home Park, which he managed with his wife, Patricia, continuing its operation together until his passing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Baker) Soose, whom he married March 16, 1973; children, Jason Soose, Jamie (Louis) Ambrose, Robert Soose, David (Lorie) Soose, Carrie (Clarence Claypoole) Soose and Stanley (Sue) Soose; grandchildren, Arianna McCommons, Jennifer Soose, Amanda Frank and Angela Claypoole; stepgranddaughter, Bobbi Sue Jones; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Patty McDougal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Adam Soose; four brothers and two sisters.
SOOSE — A visitation for Larry Soose, who died Sunday, May 3, 2026, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following at 4 p.m., on Thursday, May 7, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Bob Edmundson.
Larry will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
