Miller

Randall E. Miller, 78, of Butler, passed away at the VA Butler Hospice Inpatient Care Center on Monday, April 6, 2026.

He was the son of the late Raymond E. and Connie (Bailey) Miller and was born June 17, 1947, in Pittsburgh.

He is survived by his two sons, Ryan Miller and his wife, Tammy, of Prospect, and Daniel Miller and his wife, Heather, of Butler; his grandchildren, Kalleigh Miller and her fiancé, Caleb Abraham, of Shenango, and Ryan Nagel, of Prospect; and his brothers, James R. Miller, of Alexandria, Va., Michael Miller, of Slippery Rock, and Scott Miller and his wife, Susie, of Prospect.

Randy was a 1965 graduate of Hampton Township High School, in Allison Park. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving on the USS New Jersey during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1971 and then continued in the Navy Reserve.

He was employed at Bell of Pennsylvania and was a linesman and supervisor and then retired from Verizon after 25 years of service. Randy was a lifetime member of the Hampton Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 as a paramedic and firefighter. He was also head of the Relief Association and a board member. He was a founding member of the Hampton Soccer League.

He enjoyed going out to eat with his friends and family at Ponderosa Steakhouse, Valley Dairy and Eat’n Park.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol R. Miller.

MILLER — Private arrangements for Randall E. Miller, who died Monday, April 6, 2026, have been entrusted to TURNER-HYDE FUNERAL HOME, located at 6th and Park, Ellwood City.

Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, in Bridgeville.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations made in Randy’s name to your local veterans organization.
