Joseph A. Musser
Joseph A. Musser, 69, of Eagle Cove West Drive, Indianapolis, passed away at 4:40 Friday in the St Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.
Born in Redbank Township, Clarion County, Jan. 18, 1939, he was the son of Joseph Harry Musser Jr. and Alice Ruth Shick Musser.
He was member of the Meridian Street United Methodist Church.
He previously was employed by PennDOT as a project resident engineer. He retired in 1993 as an analytical chemist for the Tennessee Valley Authority. He currently was employed as a surveillance engineer for Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services in Chicago.
He was a member of the Steel Structures Painting Council. He was a certified coating inspector with the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved fishing, gardening, NASCAR, the computer and the Internet.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1957 to 1961 in Quonset Point, R.I.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Warner Musser. They were married on April 24, 1965. Also surviving are two daughters, Elaine R. Abbott and her husband, Wayne, of Indianapolis and Laurie R. Brown and her husband, Terry, of Rockwood, Tenn.; two grandsons, David G. and John J. Abbott of Indianapolis; his mother, Alice Musser McKinnis of Evans City; one brother, Daniel Musser and his wife, Sue, of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Robert L. Musser.
<B>MUSSER</B> — Friends and family of Joseph A. Musser, who died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Dollhopf of the First English Lutheran Church officiating.
