Woman shot Saturday morning at Moraine State Park
A New Jersey man is being charged with attempted homicide after state police say he shot a woman Saturday, May 2, at Moraine State Park.
According to state police, Jevonn J. Brown, 31, of Westamption, New Jersey, got into an argument with a woman he knows on Bear Run Road in Muddy Creek Township, which is within Moraine State Park. Police said Brown fired a pistol at the victim, who was seated in a vehicle, and she was struck multiple times.
The victim received treatment at the scene, and transported to Allegheny General Hospital. Brown was taken into custody and is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering.
He is being held in Butler County Jail. State police said in a public information report that there are no other individuals involved in the incident, and there is no danger to the public relating to the incident.
