Pennsylvania American Water has launched a $3 million Butler wastewater system inspection project.

The first phase of the project included analysis from about 45 flow monitors throughout the system.

Work will take place in the City of Butler and in portions of East Butler, as well as in Butler, Center, Connoquenessing, Oakland and Summit townships.

Crews will work on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with most inspections taking place within the public street throughway.

Access to maintenance holes on private property through a designated utility easement may be needed.
