Chicora man accused of harassment after making threats to former employer

A Chicora man is accused of harassment after making false claims about employees at his former Summit Township employer and the assassination attempt that happened at the Butler Farm Show grounds in 2024, police said.

Joshua Kaelin Glenn, 34, was charged April 27 by state police with eight misdemeanor counts of harassment after leaving numerous voicemails for a former employer.

Police responded to a business on Eastbrook Lane after the location received a number of phone calls on a company phone from a previous employee who had been fired in March. In the voicemails, the former employee made what employees said they took as threatening remarks. Employees said they were worried he might try to harm them based on the messages, according to an affidavit.

Police said the messages referenced President Donald Trump, blaming the company’s employees for the shooting that took place at the Butler Farm Show grounds in July 2024. Glenn claimed he’d been in contact with Trump and sent their information to the CIA, according to police.

When police arrived, they were shown about nine voicemails from Glenn. He repeatedly referenced one specific employee in the voicemails. In an interview with the current employee, he presented officers with his personal phone, which had received over 150 messages from Glenn between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Police also interviewed two others who had received about 50 text messages from Glenn, some of which could be considered threatening, police said.

Glenn is currently awaiting his preliminary hearing before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
