Virginia Lokovich
Virginia L. Lokovich, 93, of Butler, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Concordia at Cabot.
She was born June 10, 1932, in Butler, daughter of the late Earl L. Wheeler and Maxine (Leight) Wheeler.
She graduated from Butler High School and went on to receive her nursing training at Butler Memorial Hospital, becoming a registered nurse. She dedicated her life to caring for others, serving her community at the Butler VA Hospital, Butler Memorial Hospital and as a private duty nurse.
In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, camping, crocheting and reading. She was known as the caretaker of everybody — always the one others could count on for comfort, support and compassion.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth (Thomas) Muti and Brenda (Simpson) Keith; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul X. Lokovich; and two sons, Lawrence Lokovich and Gary Lokovich.
LOKOVICH — A visitation for Virginia L. Lokovich, who died Saturday, April 18, 2026, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday April 27, at the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Edmundson officiating.
A burial will immediately follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local food bank of choice.
