Butler’s junior high cross country team split a meet with Fox Chaspel and North Hills recently.

The girls defeated North Hills, 19-39 while dropping a 20-42 decision to Fox Chapel. Butler’s Samantha Penrod won the race in 15 minutes, 20 seconds. Jade Pinto was second overall for the Golden Tornado at 17:32 while Olivia White was third at 17:37.

Butler’s boys defeated North Hills 15-50 and lost to Fox Chapel, 23-38. Skyler Vavro was second overall in 12:47 while Josh Fry was third in 13:45.
