Setnar sparks 30-stroke Tornado victory

Brayden Setnar carded a 38 Wednesday as the Butler boys golf team defeated Shaler, 220-250, at Lakevue Golf Course.

Colin Patterson had a 42 and Carson Stein a 46 for the Golden Tornado (2-1, 1-0), who host Pine-Richland at Hiland on Friday.

Knoch 209, Highlands 258 — Beau Rusnak shot a 36 as the Knights won their season-opening match at Saxon.

Knoch takes on Hampton Friday at Saxon.

KSAC MegaMatch — Ethan McDeavitt's 43 paced Moniteau to a team victory in the first match of the season at Foxburg Country Club.

The Warriors totaled 235 strokes, seven strokes better than second-place Clarion.

Nate Tack added a 44 in the win, followed by Tyler McFadden (48), Gage Neal (49) and Slade Hutchinson (51).

Karns City finished tied for fifth with Cranberry with 271 strokes. The Gremlins were led by Josh Whitmire and his 48.
