SV tennis wins, 3-2

Sabrina Dunlap and Sneha Padamati won at first and third singles as Seneca Valley's girls tennis team edged Hampton, 3-2, Friday.

The Raiders improved to 2-1 on the season.

Pine-Richland 4, Butler 1 — The Golden Tornado dropped to 2-1 on the year as No. 1 singles player Reagan Sommariva scored Butler's lone victory, 6-0, 6-4.

The Tornado host Shaler Monday afternoon.

Golf

Slade Ohl earned medalist honors with a 42 as Freeport defeated Highlands, 233-272, at Saxon Golf Course.

The Yellowjackets are 3-1 on the season.

Pine-Richland 186, Butler 217 — Brayden Setnar was medalist with a 34 in this Friday match at Hiland Golf Course, but Butler slipped to 2-2 overall, 1-1 in section matches.

Colin Patterson shot a 41 and Carson Stein a 46 for the Golden Tornado. Jack Wynard and Cade Zolkos both shot 36 for Pine-Richland with Donnie Professori adding a 37.

Hampton 203, Knoch 212 — Cory Voltz led the Knights (1-1) with a 39, but Matt Ruzomberka grabbed medalist honors with a 35 for Hampton.
