Butler Catholic’s C.J. Singleton took first overall out of more than 1,000 runners participating in the Pittsburgh Catholic School Cross Country Championships at Coopers Lake Saturday.

Singleton set the 3K course record at 10 minutes, 29 seconds. Butler Catholic’s Michael Braun took sixth in the boys elementary race.

Boys Novice Division runners Mateo Saspe and Don Schafer medaled by placing 15th and 17th.
