Robert W. Goehring Sr.

Robert W. Goehring Sr., 85, of Evans City died Wednesday morning at his home.

He was born in Evans City on June 5, 1923, a son of the late Alvie and Viola Metz Goehring.

Mr. Goehring was a member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ in Evans City.

He was retired from American Bridge in Ambridge, Beaver County.

Mr. Goehring was a veteran of World War II, where he served as a Marine.

He was an avid collector of Chryslers and Harleys.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Mr. Goehring is survived by three sons, Ronald T. of Jonesborough, Tenn., Richard A. of Prince Edward Island, Canada, and Robert W. Jr. of Ellwood City; two daughters, Sandra J. Goehring of Orlando, Fla., and Shari Beres and her husband, Steve, of Saxonburg; a brother, Merle Goehring of Evans City; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

<B>GOEHRING —</B> Friends and relatives of Robert W. Goehring Sr., who died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the <B>A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME</B> in Evans City. Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
