BC3's Cultural Center plans 'Pennsylvania Speaks' series

BUTLER TWP - The Butler County Community College's Cultural Center announces its 2005 Pennsylvania Speaks Lecture series to be on select Thursday evenings in the college's Succop Theater.

All speeches start at 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 10 - Ken Anderson, who will celebrate Black History Month with "Paul Robeson Remembered" about the career of Robeson, one of America's most famous and groundbreaking artists.

March 3 - Paul Kengor, the author of "God and Ronald Reagan," a New York Times best seller, as well as a BC3 alumnus who is a specialist on the presidency and foreign policy, will speak on those issues. Kengor is a professor at Grove City College and has done work for Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Heritage Foundation.

March 31 - Scott Hollander, the executive director of Kids Voice in Pittsburgh and the model for the leading character in the network television series "The Guardian" will discuss the making of the show in addition to his work as a children's advocate.

April 7 - Michael Dittman, a BC3 faculty member, will speak on his recently completed biography titled, "Jack Kerouac: A Biography," which has been an Amazon.com bestseller.

Tickets for all speakers are $10 for the public and $5 for students with current student identification.
