BUTLER TWP— People interested in a computer-based career may attend a computer information systems information night to learn about degree options at Butler County Community College.
Faculty and former students will provide information about programs including network and PC specialist, programming specialist, Web design specialist, computer forensics and security, and transfer programs.
The event is at 6 p.m. April 19 in Room 286 of the Business and Health Building on the main campus.

BUTLER TWP— An honor society will host a fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society.The Phi Theta Kappa chapter at Butler County Community College will hold "Sock Hop for Hope" with music from the 1950s to the 1980s. Costumes are encouraged. There will be snacks, drinks, a costume and dance contest, and prizes.It will run from 7 to 10 p.m. April 27 in Founders Hall on the main campus.
