BC3 may receive evacuation funds
WASHINGTON, D.C., — Butler County Community College might get federal money for evacuation training.
The House on Thursday passed an appropriations bill that includes $300,000 for the college's Evacuation Crisis Management Training Program. The money will help train first responders and create a disaster command center at the college.
The college has for years trained emergency responders at its fire training school. This money could expand that service.
The bill must next be approved by the Senate and then signed into law.
