As of Monday, April 13, road crews have begun the process of installing 32 new removable steel bollards on Saxonburg’s Main Street at both the Rebecca and Isabella street intersections.
The bollards will be used to close that portion of Main Street for special events and holiday parades.
“This is a tremendous safety addition for our event season,” said borough manager Steven May. “We only have two holes left to install and they’ll be completed.”
The borough received $16,000 in donations to help cover the cost of the installation through donations from Saxonburg Area Rotary and the Saxonburg Area Business Association.
