Hilles

Walter “Dave” Hilles, 89, of Butler, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at his home.

He was born Oct. 4, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio, and was the son to the late Walter R. and Pauline (Ozlenick) Hilles.

Dave was a member of Hannahstown Road Baptist Church. He had worked at AK Steel in the processing maintenance office. He was previously a co-owner of AAA AZ Services and had been a tax preparer. Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.

Surviving are his children, John (Becky) Hilles, Diana Hilles (Leroy Burlingame), Naomi (John) Bennett, Paul (Emily) Hilles and Steve (Melissa) Hilles; his many beloved grandchildren; and his sister, Judith Ann Hutchison.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Sarah (White) Hilles.

HILLES — A private family service will be held in memory of their father, Walter “Dave” Hilles, who died Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassion International or Medical Missions Outreach.
