Cranberry Artists Network welcoming visual artist for April gallery
A Ross Township artist will display a solo show in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center through April.
Kenneth Hall, a father of five boys, has an art style described as no longer just illustrations, but the works are diverse, using personal history and social commentary. Realistic representation has changed to emotion and emotional subjects, forms and colors used as a tool of self-expression, said a news release from the Cranberry Artists Network.
He earned a bachelor's degree from West Virginia University and a master’s degree from Penn State University in art education. Hall taught visual arts for Pittsburgh Public Schools for 27 years until 2016, when he had to take a medical retirement.
Hall has won awards for his work in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, mainly in university gallery settings. This show is his fourth one-man exhibit.
The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
