The City of Butler presented Pat Collins and The Butler County Historical Society with a Commercial Pride Award for bringing the Walldogs to Butler.

Collins and councilman Kenny Bonus, who is part of the historical society, accepted the honor during Thursday’s city council meeting at the city building.

The Walldogs are a group of muralists who painted 10 murals representing Butler’s history in downtown Butler from July 27 to July 31.

“It was a privilege to be able to bring this to Butler, and there’s still a lot of room for people to step up and chip in,” Collins said. “They love Butler. They really appreciated being able to come here.”
