Ronald Weleski
Ronald A. Weleski, 77, of Butler, formerly of Cabot, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 19, 1948, in Natrona Heights, he was a son of the late Raymond Weleski and Mary Kursul Weleski.
A graduate of Duquesne University, Ron worked as an accountant at Castle Rubber Company in East Butler and at Robinson Fans Inc., in Zelienople, from where he retired.
He was an active and dedicated member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church. Among other things, Ron was involved in the pastoral care ministry, visiting shut-ins and residents in nursing homes. He was also a Benedictine oblate.
Among his community activities, Ron volunteered for years with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marsha Lynne Staeger Scott Weleski, whom he married Oct. 26, 1991; two stepchildren, Randy Scott and his wife, Denise, and Lori Scott; four grandchildren, Tyler Thompson and his wife, Casey, Jacob Peiffer, Brittany Sutton and her husband, Cade, and Alex Thiel and his wife, Sarah; and one great-grandchild, Julian Thiel. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of great-grandbaby Thompson, due in August.
Ron is also survived by four brothers, Raymond Weleski, Roger Weleski and his wife, Cheryl, Russell Weleski, and Regis Weleski and his wife, Diane; one brother-in-law, Jack Staeger; one sister-in-law, Cindy Weleski; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Weleski.
WELESKI — Friends of Ronald A. Weleski, who died Monday, March 16, 2026, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 20, at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev. John J. Baver officiating.
Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.
The family welcomes floral tributes. Monetary donations in memory of Ronald A. Weleski may be made to All Saints Parish, the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
