Jon Scheidemantle
Jon Lee “Jonny” Scheidemantle, 60, of Worth Township, Butler County, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026.
He was born in New Castle on Dec. 24, 1965, and had a remarkable career as a self-employed truck driver with a Purple Pete he called “Jo.” He was a man who understood the meaning of hard work and loved those close to him unconditionally.
Jon could light up a room with his big, bold presence and make any stranger feel like his best friend. But above all, his greatest accomplishment was his son and best friend, Brice. The road may have ended for Jonny, but our love for him will travel on forever.
Survivors include his fiancée, Tavia L. Lynch, at home; son, Brice W. (Kinzie) Scheidemantle, of Portersville; mother, Patricia Louise Aiken, of Slippery Rock; father, Elton (Patty) Scheidemantle, of Portersville; stepchild, Kris Ketterer, of Harmony; and stepgrandson, Wyatt Ketterer.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
